SAM HEWITT Fans, good evening! We welcome you to the gateway to the west - St. Louis, Missouri for the conclusion of the Iron Road mini series and our final stop before the End of the Road, the end of 2020 here in LRX on 12/21.
BRIAN SHELZI Sambo, it's a huge night in its own right. We've got the newly crowned World Tag Team Champions, Hammerstein and James Edwards - the Burning Hammers. They'll go up against Riel Buck's handpicked challengers. The Agents of Pain! Longtime Lion's Road fans will remember that name because these are the two men that Eli Buchanan, Riel's brother, brought in back in 2016 in an attempt to rid Hammerstein from the promotion. Of course, Eli was salty about his friend's refusal to join his faction and then tried to get him ousted from LR by applying a loser leaves town stipulation to the match between AOP and Hammerstein/Anna Matthews. Unfortunately for Eli, Hammer would send them boys packing. Could tonight be a different story?
SAM HEWITT They've changed their names, Agent D has become "Big" Dutch Mills while Agent B is now Bobby Lancaster. Could this be a sign they've cleaned up their act and are ready to compete at a World Championship level? We'll have some words from them prior to the title match. Also, we'll see the media call that took place earlier this week between World's Champion David Troy, the King of Lions and his number one contender, Hammerstein.
BRIAN SHELZI A busy night for the American Monster, but if anyone can handle being a double champ - it's him.
SAM HEWITT We'll also see a rematch from a few weeks ago when AJ Knight & Jeremy Squire meet Justin Seville & Felix Bingham. Darnell Cane seems to have eased the issues between Seville and Bingham and Squire is serious about being serious... again... and wants to avenge his quick loss to Seville, while I think AJ Knight just wants to get back on track after losing the World's title.
BRIAN SHELZI It's understandable, Sambo. The World's championship is a heavy prize, not just physically but mentally too and to lose it in your first defense really stabs you. That means you don't qualify for a rematch and you've gotta start the journey all over again. AJ's a two-time champ, he knows about it and I think it's just a matter of time before he gets back on track.
SAM HEWITT And in just a few moments, we'll have two new tag teams debut opposite one another. Let's send it to the production team, who have some words from the manager of one of those two teams...
The cameras cut to backstage where we see the LRX backdrop. Standing in front of said backdrop is Joe Bailey and “The Butcher” Josh Williams, collectively known as The Standard. Standing in front of The Standard is a slickly dressed man with dark sunglasses and a rolled up newspaper. He has an air of arrogance to him.
AUSTIN ANDERSON Hello there. My name, for the uneducated, is Austin Anderson. I hail from the New England region where, due to my high pedigree, I claimed a many of championships and accolades during my days as a professional wrestler. After a fruitful career, I decided to pass along the wealth of knowledge I had gathered over the years and began to train the next generation of wrestling excellence. One of my first students was this man here, Josh Williams.
Anderson pats Josh on the shoulder and gives him a nod.
AUSTIN ANDERSON Now what we have here is the meeting of three similar like minded people who have come together to show that not only are we the very best act in wrestling today, we are the standard to which all others will be measured when history is written. These men are artists on the mat, scientists of the ring. They will locate a body part and work it over with immaculate skills and technique to bring their opponent's will to the very edge. These men are capable of bringing giants down to their very knees, to cause gods to break, to destroy any hope and dreams of men foolish enough to step into the ring with them. Call it a throwback to the years before, this is a reintroduction to the lost art of tap out or pass out. You all are lucky enough to be in the mere presence of greatness and after we make short work of our opponents this evening, Lance Burton and Jordan Smith, we will continue to march forward as we break and destroy the wills of any man who stands in our way of the Tag Team Championship of the World! Remember, we are the Standard to which all others are measured! Tap out or pass out are your only options! Let us be on our way, gentlemen.
With that, Austin and the Standard walk away as we go to break.

MASON MARVELLE Ladies and gentlemen, this opening tag bout is to be fought over a fifteen minute time limit with one fall, one submission or a knockout to decide the winner! Introducing first at a combined weight of five hundred and fourteen pounds - Jordan Smith, Lance Burton... ALBERTA STRONG!
They bump fists with a quick "Ferda".
MASON MARVELLE Their opponents at a combined weight of four hundred and seventy four pounds. Accompanied to the ring by "The Absolute" Austin Anderson - Joe Bailey, Josh Williams... THE STANDARD!
Anderson pats Bailey on the shoulder and gives a quick bit of advice to Williams who nods.
MASON MARVELLE Your referee for this bout is Robbie Morris!
As the bell sounds, Jordan Smith and Lance Burton give each other another fist bump. Joe Bailey darts toward them but gets caught in the act, he smiles and plays it cool as Smith decides to start things off for Alberta Strong. They circle around and lock-up, Smith slaps on a side headlock but Bailey quickly backs him up into the ropes and shoots him off. On the return, Bailey does a hip toss but Smith lands on his feet and turns around... BIG RIGHT! A second! A third! Bailey staggers back against the ropes, Smith grabs him and shoots him off and nails him with a dropkick on the return! Bailey goes down and wobbly tries to get to his corner, but Smith rushes in and gets between the two men and decks Josh Williams on the apron! Austin Anderson applauds as Bailey bashes Smith from behind, sending him down into enemy territory. As Bailey tries to wait for Williams to get back on the apron, Jordan Smith fires back with a series of blows - backing Bailey up into the centre of the ring and creating space for him to escape. Williams tries to grab him, but Smith decks him with an elbow and then hits Bailey with a kick to the gut. Smith leaps up onto Bailey's back, stomping him down and does a front roll to tag in Lance Burton.
SAM HEWITT Big Flash Burton has tagged in! 5'11' / 281lbs - he isn't big by height standards here in Lion's Road, but he's as sturdy as they come.
BRIAN SHELZI Him and Smith were hockey players growing up, Burton's the type you stick in front of the net on the powerplay. Minimize the amount of skating he has to do and block the opposing goalie's sightlines to create scoring opportunities. He works just as well as a tag team wrestler, too. Let Smith wear guys down with his speedy approach and let Burton come knock 'em down. However, when Josh Williams gets in here - the story's going to change some.
Indeed it does, Williams tags in and he and Burton go toe-to-toe. Austin Anderson on the floor slaps his newspaper against the mat and the two trade words, a shoving match ensues until a lock-up ends with Williams being backed up into the corner but he switches out quickly - putting Burton's back against the turnbuckles. Referee Robbie Morris calls for a clean break, but Burton pops Williams with a right hand and he responds in kind with a knife edge chop. He then drives a knee into Burton's midsection and whips him into the opposing corner. Burton hits hard and Williams rushes in, but Burton bodies him as he sprints in. Burton quickly tags in Smith and Williams is scooped up by Burton while Smith ascends the top rope. Burton slams him into the mat and rolls away just as Smith comes down with a body press! Burton rolls out...
1...
...
2...
...
NO!
Smith chirps Morris about the count, but it doesn't change the fact it was only two. He grabs Williams up but gets the Butcher's shoulder driven into his gut and staggers away to the wrong side of town. Williams tracks him down and goes for a kick, Smith ducks but it was just a feint - Williams drives him down to the mat with a leg sweep. He quickly slaps on a spinning toe hold and tags Joe Bailey, who comes in and begins stomping the arm of Smith as Williams finishes up the toe hold before the ten count is finished.
BRIAN SHELZI Here is where the Standard are going to shine, Sambo. They are simultaneously working over two different body parts, the leg and the arm. If you're Jordan Smith, which one do you try and protect? How are you going to defend both from attacks? You can't and the more you overthink it, the more the Standard have gotten inside your head.
Bailey snatches Smith up off the mat and applies an arm wringer. He uses the leverage to steer Smith across the ring to a neutral corner and places him in the corner. He releases the arm and then puts it over the top rope and pulls it through between the top and middle, cranking on it as Morris gives him a five count. Bailey backs off at four and Smith pulls it back inside, but as soon as Smith is away from the corner - Bailey grabs the arm in an underhook and hoofs him in the chest with a knee before hip tossing him. With Smith on the mat, Bailey sits him up and applies a single chickenwing to the affected arm and uses his knee to push Smith's upper body forward. Burton gives some advice from the corner, but Bailey tells him to shut his trap! Burton offers him a chance to make him, but Bailey scoffs and tells him he's having too much fun making his buddy squeal like a pig! Smith gets smacked in the side of the head after the comment, Bailey then hooks his ear to contort the body in THREE different directions. Burton yells at Morris to do something about it, but Bailey releases the hold and tags in Williams. Williams calmly walks in, assessing the situation as Bailey walks right up to Burton - but close enough to not get smacked and invites him inside. When Burton tries to, Morris gets in between!
BRIAN SHELZI Playin' these boys like a symphony.
Bailey grabs Smith's arm and stretches it out as Williams literally hacks at it with some tomahawk-style chops. Smith crumbles to the mat, but gets no time at all to try and recover because Williams slaps on a Fujiwara armbar! Smith stretches his free arm out, looking for the ropes but doesn't have to find it because Burton breaks up the submission! He grabs Williams and pulls him up, but the Butcher drives into him and both men tumble out to the floor. Referee Robbie Morris tries to get out there to break it up and Joe Bailey sees his chance, he gets in and grabs the arm and pulls Smith over to the corner, releases it and exits the ring. He grabs it from the outside and smashes it against the ring post, Smith cries out in pain and rolls away as Burton and Williams are separated from one another. Williams climbs back inside and a single newspaper hit to the apron from Anderson on the floor, tells him it's time - Williams slaps on a chickenwing, then the crossface portion and falls back to slap on the bodyscissors. Smith quickly taps and Burton doesn't even get a chance to think about saving him, even though it'd be a DQ if he did. Williams throws him aside and rolls out of the ring to join his teammates on the floor.
SAM HEWITT The Standard making a big statement in their debut, definitely a match that puts other teams on notice. I don't condone the tactics that Joe Bailey used at conclusion of this bout, but there was effective limb work throughout the match.
BRIAN SHELZI Not just limb work, but strategy in general. They opened up doors for each other in this match and as a tandem, that's exactly what you want. Josh Williams is only in his third year, but with Austin Anderson and Joe Bailey as his supporting cast - he's going to be a very good tactician and fast.
Burton is staring daggers at the Standard as Smith has ice packs applied to his arm.

Throne of sorts, in the middle of a room.
Iron Man, Corvin, sitting on it.
“That’s right.
It’s me, your very own Iron Road winner. Rain Motherfucking Corvin.
And there’s nothing you can do about it anymore. Jonah Ke’ala threatening to beat yours truly, when he gets better.
Sure, when he gets better, for as for now a single fart can kill him. He mumbles something about him being only halfway healthy, when he fought me for this fucking trophy. Forgetting that I’ve go two victories over him…
...Or were they twenty? Can’t remember correctly. Ke’ala is so generic, I confuse him with all the Jeremy Squires of this world. But that’s beyond topic. Topic here is the fact that you all seem to hate on whatever Rain Corvin does. But even if so, you can’t stop me from achieving greatness.
Today is Iron Road.
Tomorrow is the King of Lions.
After that, the world.
Even is it does rain on everyone, it doesn’t rain on Rain Corvin. I feel great. I am in top shape. I am the best. And there is not a damn thing you can do about it. Fighting is my life. I live to fight. By doing so, I achieve grand things.
Even if I happen to lose a match or two.
I am no Trevor Ward. Even if I stumble and fall. I rise up stronger, dust my clothes off and keep on walking in the path of victory. Because even if you manage to lose a fight or two, important is winning the war.
And that’s what I do best. Winning.
Nineteen years young. Already in Lion Road’s history books.
Who knows what heights I can achieve at twenty five? In the day when some just start, I’ll have traveled half of the road already.
King of the road, damn right so. If the opportunity arises, seize it. Fight until your lungs explode and you are spitting blood, for all of that is worth it, when you emerge victorious from the encounters your life puts in front of you.
You can’t do anything else. Life is a constant struggle and you have to be ready to face the adversities she puts you face to face with. If not, you are done for. No one will be there clapping their hands for you if you win. Everyone will be there to boo and spit on you, if you lose.
It is what it it is.
You have to be ready and, as I said, I was born ready. Be it Trevor Ward, Ryan Samuels, Jonah Ke’ala or, tomorrow, David Troy, you have to put up the fight of your lives, each and every time the opportunity arises.
Some will say that I am talking too big for my stature. That David Troy is a far too far target for a rookie, who just started in Lions Road. But I disagree. I am skilled beyond compare and I have my target dead set in my mind.
I sit here today, in a throne, in front of you.
Today its this one.
Tomorrow the whole world will lay in my hands.
I am not over reaching . I am focused and ready.
Born Ready."

MASON MARVELLE Ladies and gentlemen, this tag team bout is to be fought over a fifteen minute time limit with one fall, one submission or a knockout to decide the winner! Introducing first a combined weight of four hundred and fifteen pounds... Jeremy Squire and AJ Knight!
No dance for Squire this time, but AJ folds his arms and smirks at Seville who's staring a hole through him.
MASON MARVELLE Their opponents at a combined weight of four hundred and thirty nine pounds. Accompanied to the ring by Darnell Cane... Felix Bingham and Justin Seville!
Cane says something to both men before dropping off the apron.
MASON MARVELLE Your referee for this bout is Jerry Roberts.
Knight tries to start things out for his team, but Squire has other ideas and tells his "mentor" to let him do it. Seeing this, Darnell Cane tells Felix Bingham to tag out and so he does, Justin Seville comes in and shoves Squire on his ass. Squire gets right back up and shoves Seville, but a second shove puts Squire right back down on the mat again.
BRIAN SHELZI You know when you have the little yappy dog that thinks he's hot and starts barking and growling at a big dog? That's a lot like this, but Seville isn't such a kind, gentle creature like most big dogs. He just wants to tea--see?
Squire gets up again and is piefaced. The Electric one fires back with a huge slap, prompting the Cottonmouth to take action but Squire dodges the lunge and begins kicking the legs of Seville! He tries to check some of them, but Squire's attack is relentless! AJ is yelling at him to slow down and conserve some energy, but Squire isn't listening. Seville drops to a knee and Squire tries for an axe kick, but Justin Seville grabs his leg and sends him backwards. Squire pops right back up...
SHINING WIZARD!
1...
...
2...
...
3!
NO!
ONLY TWO!
SAM HEWITT Look at AJ's eyes! He thought Jeremy Squire scored an upset over AJ's longtime rival... and so did everyone else here in this building, I think. Let's check the replay.
A kickout indeed, Seville gets his shoulder up at the last possible chance.
BRIAN SHELZI You don't get any closer than that! That's why you should always pin after a quick strike or impact move - you never know. He kicked out here, but it could have been another story entirely just the same.
Squire is a bit winded and tags out to AJ Knight, who comes in and slaps Seville on the side of the head as he's shaking out the cobwebs. AJ grabs him into a side headlock and really cranks it on, Seville tries to push him off but cannot. So Seville backs him into the ropes and shoots him off again, but AJ doubles down and keeps the hold intact. Seville tries to push him off again, but to no avail. Finally he decides to hoist him up into the air, but AJ positions his body properly and rides the momentum down - a beautiful side headlock takedown! Seville reaches up with his legs, applying a headscissor and uses them to pry AJ's grip off of his head. Seville rolls out of the ring as AJ gets up and hops on the neutral corner turnbuckle and invites Seville back into the ring. I'd say Cane tries to settle Seville down, but he does the opposite - he tells him AJ Knight is laughing at him... and so is everyone else!
SAM HEWITT Why are we letting this happen to an athlete, a fighter - it doesn't matter WHO it is. This is just cruel.
Seville slides back in, methodically. Knight hops down and keeps his distance, talking some trash before Seville lunges at him. AJ sprawls out, slapping on a front chancery. Cane puts a knee up on the apron and gets Bingham's attention, whispering something that ends with the Cat giving him a nod. Seville backs AJ into the ropes to try and force a break, but AJ wisely spins out and centres himself in the middle of the ring. He drops to his knees and slaps Seville a few times, trying to rile him up. The Cottonmouth storms to his feet and slams AJ into the corner turnbuckles. Felix Bingham tries to get in, but Roberts intercepts him as Cane leaps up and throws...
SOME KIND OF POWDER?!
IN AJ'S FACE!
AJ lets go, falling onto his knees. Seville grabs him...
PILEDRIVER!
Bingham nearly trips himself getting into the ring to spear the hell out of Squire.
1...
...
2...
...
3!
Seville sits there in a daze, then smiles at Cane. Cane nods, emotionless. Bingham rolls out and Seville soon follows. Cane gets between his two clients and raises each man's arm.
SAM HEWITT Some victory.
BRIAN SHELZI Sometimes you got to take shortcuts, Sambo. That's the nature of this sport - you have to get the monkey off your back somehow.
As the trio heads up the aisle, AJ Knight is blindly crawling across the ring asking for a microphone. Despite being turned inside out, Jeremy Squire grabs it for him and helps him grab it. Medical staff try to interrupt him, but AJ insists.
AJ KNIGHT Does... that feel good?
Seville nods.
AJ KNIGHT You finally did it... but you couldn't do it yourself, could you?
Seville's smirk turns to a glare, he looks at Cane with some pissed off eyes.
AJ KNIGHT Not when I'm fresh, or not when you didn't have someone to help you... but it still feels good?
Seville is ready to back down the aisle, but Bingham holds him back.
AJ KNIGHT And I bet you're ready to come down and beat my ass for saying this. I wish I could see that scowl, I bet it's worse than usual. Justin, I think we need to do this one on one. No managers, no partners... just you and I.
Seville quickly agrees, but Cane shakes his head. Squire tells AJ he said yes, but AJ says he already knew the answer...

The screen now splits, with the usual footer graphic saying these interviews are being conducted “via satellite,” showing, on the right now, the current King of Lions World’s Heavyweight Champion, David Troy, comfortably seated in front of what appears to be a fireplace, his coveted championship draped across his lap. On the left side of the screen, seated alone in his dressing room, is one half of the World Tag Team Champions, Jacob Hammerstein. His Tag Title belt rests on his right shoulder. Hammerstein is "in the zone," as he has prepared himself for his title defense against The Agents of Pain. DAVID TROY Well, first I’d like to wish Hammer good luck tonight defending those tag team titles. Anyone who’s able to beat someone like my boy Mushigihara to win those straps is a force to be reckoned with for sure, which is exactly what I hoped for moving into our match for this…The world champion lightly taps his title and grins. HAMMERSTEIN Well, first off, thanks for the well wishes, but no thanks. Me and Edwards don't need luck to kick The AoP's asses. As far as you hoping for a force to be reckoned with to defend that belt against? Well, you got that and a whole hell of a lot more. You got the guy who beat you for it the last time you held it, The American Monster, Jacob Hammerstein. It's gonna be second verse, same as the first when I beat you for that belt.David Troy chuckles and shakes his head. DAVID TROY
Tainted win. Last time we locked up for this title, I had you dead to rights. I had you locked up tight, and tapping until BRIAN SHELZI distracted the referee and kept me from taking that match.
DAVID TROY
I had you BEAT again in the AWA and that Television title was almost mine until you got the drop on me after I had landed that killing blow. But the third time's the charm, now, and I am going to be watching EVERY angle, to make sure you don’t pull out any rabbits out of your hat. Make no mistake, Hammer. I’m gonna make sure this is as even a playing field as it gets; no politics, no hostility… just two of the best wrestlers in the world battling to determine who’s THE best. Hammerstein gives a slight eye roll, followed by a smirk. HAMMERSTEIN Last time I checked the record books, there's only two columns. The American Monster holds up two fingers.
HAMMERSTEIN
Wins…He folds down his index finger, leaving his middle finger extended. HAMMERSTEIN ...and losses. There are no asterisks.Hammerstein rubs his eyes and extends his hand towards the screen, almost as if he's looking for a handshake. HAMMERSTEIN But I agree with you. No outside interference. No shenanigans. Just me and you, fighting it out for this company... hell this business's top prize... The King of Lions Championship. Watch the match tonight, Champ. Watch what I do to The AoP, and get ready. No excuses... from either of us. Just one winner, and one loser.DAVID TROY Oh, I will. And there will be no excuses… for when I knock your lights out and finally get that victory in the books over you. See ya then, Hammerman. The champ grins as he makes a sarcastic wave and cuts his signal. The anger on the face of The American Monster is almost volcanic as he swats the camera and stomps away, loosing a torrent of bleeped out obscenities before his signal is cut.

The Burning Hammers are in the locker room. The prizes that mark them as the world’s best tag team rest on their respective shoulders. Jacob Hammerstein stands front and center, while James Edwards is in the background contemplating something. Hammerstein speaks in a low, not quite hushed tone, but the volume and intensity in his voice increases as he goes on. HAMMERSTEIN Chaucer once wrote that "familiarity breeds contempt." That's a damn fact, because, Agents of Pain, I'm very familiar with the two of you. You bastards always seem to turn up in my life, attemptin' to make me, and everyone around me, miserable. Whether you're bein' managed by my favorite brother in law, Eli… or his brother, Riel, you're like The Clap. Just when you think you're rid of it, it comes right back. I got that from Google, but Riel could probably verify that from experience. But we got the one- two punch cure for the disease of The AoP, a real azithromycin/doxycycline combination, and you're lookin' at 'em, THE World Tag Team Champions, James Edwards and yours truly, The American Monster, Jacob Hammerstein, The Burnin' goddamn Hammer's, and you boys ain't got what it takes to take these (Hammerstein holds his title belt towards the camera.) from us.
What you got to say on the matter, Edwards?Edwards steps into the forefront. JAMES EDWARDS This fight is personal for me, but not for the reasons you might think. I’ve noticed something since I started walkin’ the Lion’s Road again, there are some big sons of bitches in this place. The Grand Slam Champion sizes up his partner in the peripheries of his vision. JAMES EDWARDS Maybe it was that way when I was in the first version of this company. You don’t notice stuff like that when you’re barely blooded as a fighter. You’ll fight anybody and you’ll fight the same way size be damned. He sighs. JAMES EDWARDS I notice it now. Guys have gotten heavy when I go to drop em’ on their head. It takes more shots with my fists and feet to put em’ on the canvass. The fact is, the size of my heart is huge but my body ain’t. Facts like that make you wonder if you hang like you used too, and when you face a fact like that you’ve got two choices. He hangs a single finger in the air. JAMES EDWARDS The first one is that you can choose to go around actin’ like you are bigger than you are like yappy ass terrier does. I look at you, Riel, and I see an annoying Yorkie. You’re shiny and when you don’t get what you want you make a lot of noise. I don’t know you like the Hammer does, but I’d guess to say you feel small compared to your brother. He’s a legendary fighter and you, well you bitch a lot. You don’t seem like the kind of guy who would last more than six seconds in the ring. You always gotta dominate people for that reason I’d guess and the only way you can do it is to pick on people you can take or get huge sons of bitches to do the work for ya. You don’t give a damn who you hurt as long as you get to stand tall. The disgust in Edward’s voice is earnest as he hangs a second finger in the air. JAMES EDWARDS Then you’ve got the second choice, the fighter’s choice. You learn to embrace your limitations. You learn to love the challenge of being a small man in the land of giants. You choose to think about your problems instead of using them as fuel for a victim complex. And when you figure out how to overcome that obstacle, you stand tall and proud as a man. It ain’t easy for me in this company right now, but I’m getting closer to figuring out the next stage in my evolution as a fighter, and that’s something that should make you and the people like you, Riel, very very damn scared.Edwards pounds the gold on his shoulder and flashes a hungry smirk, one that Hammerstein mimics. Their reasons for wanting to win oceans apart but their resolve is united as ever.
We go outside the arena where three motorcycles are pulling up. The riders hope off and pull off their helmets, revealing that it’s Riel Buck and the Agents of Pain, Big Ditch Mills and “Bad Boy” Bobby Lancaster. The trio begins to walk into the arena, but Dutch stops and grabs a staff member by the front of the shirt.
DUTCH MILLS Listen up, punk. Make sure no one touches our Harleys or I’ll break your jaw. Understood?
The man nods and Dutch pats him in the cheek.
DUTCH MILLS
Good man, tell your momma I’ll see her later.
He shoves the guy to the ground. All three of them laugh at the poor guy and begin walking into the arena.
BOBBY LANCASTER I gotta hand it to you, Riel, you looked pretty good on that Harley back there. I didn’t take you for being one of us.
RIEL BUCK (laughing) What, you think my brother is the only member of my family who knows how to ride a hog? You would be wise to realize that I am full of surprises, gentlemen.
DUTCH MILLS (snorts) You better not let him hear you talking about his old lady like that, or they’ll both kick your ass.
Both of the Agents of Pain start laughing and high five one another. Riel rolls his eyes at their low brow humour and turns to them.
RIEL BUCK Real funny, Dutch, but you two clowns better put on your serious faces real quick, or you can ride those bikes all the way back to Podunk, where I found you.
The Agents of Pain don’t appear very pleased to be talked down to like this. They turn to one another and seem to contemplate how to respond. Bobby shrugs his shoulders and Dutch nods. The latter puts up his hands, defensively.
DUTCH MILLS Hey, I didn’t mean anything by it, Riel. Listen, we’re grateful you got us this title match, especially against those nerds, Hammerstein and Edwards. Yeah, we still owe Hammerstein a receipt for what he did to us a few years. By the time we’re done with him, he’ll think he’s back in 2016 when he was fat and had frosted tips in his hair. And that James Edwards guy doesn’t intimidate us one bit. Everyone knows he’s lost his edge. I guarantee all it’s going to take is one solid big boot from me and Edwards will be seeing stars and singing the Holy Gospel according to the Agents of Pain.
BOBBY LANCASTER Hell ya, Dutch. One time up top!
The two of them “too sweet” one another and laugh. Riel simply shakes his head at the display and it’s clear he doesn’t think these two have wised up at all over the past four years since they were last in Lion’s Road.
RIEL BUCK Just remember, guys, I brought you in here for one reason and one reason alone. I’m paying you two a lot of money to hurt Hammerstein and Edwards. If you can do that and win the World Tag Team Titles at the same time, all the better. Capiche?
The Agents of Pain nod and smile. BOBBY LANCASTER We got you, Riel.
DUTCH MILLS Loud and clear.
RIEL BUCK Good! Now come on, you two have a match to prepare for.
He walks off and Lancaster starts following him. Dutch grabs him by the arm and pulls him back for a private word.
DUTCH MILLS Win, lose or draw, we’re still stealing his hog, right?
BOBBY LANCASTER (laughs) Of course. That bike is way too good for a freak like him.
The two “two sweet” one another again and walk off to follow Riel to their locker room.

We come back from break as the champions are making their entrance. Hammerstein and Edwards hand their belts to the stage hands and dive into the ring. The fists start flying as soon as the World Tag Team Champions hit the ring, the Agents of Pain and the Burning Hammers in an all out Pier Six brawl! Referee Cordell Garner can only watch as the two team trade rights and lefts! Hammer and Edwards are paired up with Dutch Mills and Bobby Lancaster respectively in opposite corners. Mills and Lancaster coordinate a double Irish whip and try to send the champs into one another, they duck and Hammer lariats Lancaster while Edwards hits a spinning heel kick on Mills! Both Agents of Pain powder out to the floor as Riel Buck comes rushing to their side!
SAM HEWITT And out they go! The Burning Hammers are all fired up to start this match!
Buck tells the guys to take their time getting back in the ring and let the Hammers' momentum come down a bit. Mills and Lancaster pull Buck into a quick huddle and then break, heading to the ring. Mills and Hammer tie up again with the former Agent D dropping Hammer to the mat with a takedown, while Edwards maintains his upper hand on Lancaster. Hammer manages a sweep and starts raining down blows on Mills, Lancaster rakes Edwards' eyes and clubs him down to his knees before rushing over to kick Hammerstein and knock him off his partner. The Agents of Pain grab Edwards and start double teaming him, but Hammer gets back in the action and grabs Mills, spinning him around and headbutting him! Lancaster continues his attack on Edwards, kicking him in the midsection - a very questionable kick that is left unseen by Garner trying to balance the action.
BRIAN SHELZI The bell sounded minutes ago, but Garner is letting this free-for-all continue... why?!
SAM HEWITT Would you try to officiate this? This is a heated match and Hammer's got himself some backup, I don't think for a minute the Agents of Pain are really interested in the tag titles so much as they are into the idea of putting Hammerstein out of professional wrestling.
Lancaster throws Edwards down across the middle rope and uses his knee to choke him, while Hammerstein attempts a corner lariat and finds nothing but turnbuckles! Mills proceeds to stomp a mudhole in Hammer as he falls into the corner. Mills sees how Lancaster's doing with Edwards and calls for a double team, Lancaster pulls him up and restrains both arms which allows Mills to come off the ropes with a big boot that hits Edwards right in the mouth! The Burning Heart goes down and the Agents turn their attention to Hammer, who's pulling himself up out of the corner. They grab him and shoot him off the ropes, lifting him high into the air and dropping him throat first across the top rope! Hammer falls back onto the mat and "Big" Dutch Mills, BDM follows it up with an elbow drop! Bobby Lancaster has Edwards down in the corner, stomping away and choking him every chance he can get that Garner is watching Mills and Hammerstein.
BRIAN SHELZI This "let it all go" strategy really isn't benefiting the Hammers, is it?
Mills makes a cover of Hammer but he kicks out at two. Buck gets into it with Garner and Mills gets up, searching for something in his attire - he turns around and eats a punch from Hammer as he has his hands down his own pants! Hammer blasts him with a couple more shots, backing him up against the ropes but Bobby Lancaster is right behind him - attacking him from behind with a double axe handle! Mills says something to Lancaster, who hops out of the ring and grabs a chair from ringside. He starts back toward the ring, but Edwards comes at him and kicks him in the gut. The chair lands on the apron and Edwards continues his beatdown of Lancaster on the outside. Mills grabs the chair on the inside and ignores Garner's orders to put it down, the former Agent D waits for Hammerstein to get up and readies it...
HAMMER BLOCKS IT!
Indeed, he grabs the chair and the two fight with it over their heads. Mills manages to back Hammer into the corner and kicks him in the gut, releasing his grip on the chair. BDM tries to smash it down over his head, but Hammer drops to the mat and Mills hits nothing but ropes and buckles - causing it to fly back and strike him! Mills falls to the mat and Hammer literally dives on top of him for a cover!

BUCK PUTS MILLS' FOOT ON THE ROPE!
Even though Hammer and Garner each missed his act, Buck's insistence that the count be stopped gives it away and Hammer rushes out to give chase. Buck is stuck between Hammer and Edwards and opts to try his luck under the ring. Edwards climbs inside to take over against Mills, but Hammer grabs Buck's foot and yanks him back out. Lancaster strikes him from behind, saving Riel Buck's hide! Edwards nails a kesagiri chop on Mills, turning him around - he then grabs him in a rear waist lock and delivers a Regal suplex! He covers!

3-NO!
Lancaster climbs back in and attacks Edwards from behind following the pin attempt. Hammer slowly crawls in the ring and the Agents dispatch onto a man each, Mills begins battering Hammerstein but he keeps getting up. Edwards blocks Lancaster's chop attempt and delivers a bicycle knee! Hammer catches Mills' arm and traps both of them and begins a headbutting flurry! Mills is released and falls to the mat. Hammer and Edwards coordinate a plan, the Burning Heart grabs Bobby Lancaster and pulls him up to his feet. Hammerstein picks up some steam, rushing into the ropes and then darts across into the adjacen--
RIEL BUCK PULLS THE TOP ROPE DOWN!
HAMMER TUMBLES OUT!
Edwards turns to see what's causing the delay and this allows Mills to get up and attack him from behind! He grabs Edwards and shouts at Lancaster, who struggles to find steady footing. Mills hoists Edwards up for the Hart Attack, but Edwards tries his damnedest to break free - striking him with Mongolian chops! Lancaster bounces off the ropes and leaps up for the lari--
HE EATS AN ELBOW FROM EDWARDS!
Lancaster inadvertently chop blocks Mills as Edwards is trying to sink in a guillotine choke but ends up spiking him into the mat with a DDT! He tries pushing Big Dutch Mills off of him and onto his back... and does!

3!
Riel Buck is livid, but he doesn't have time to berate his hired guns or the referee because Hammerstein recovers and gives chase. Buck clears the railing in a jump and is off, Hammerstein ceases the chase and climbs back into the ring. Him and Edwards share a quick hug as the belts are given to them by Garner and raise each other's arms!
SAM HEWITT It wasn't much of a match, but it was a hell of a fight! Riel Buck's Agents of Pain came here to put these two out of commission, but the Burning Hammers live to fight another day. Could Hammerstein be a double champion this time next week? He challenges David Troy for the King of Lions Heavyweight title, James Edwards battles Mushigihara and Ryan Samuels locks horns with Australia's Luke Marshall - it's all next week! See you then!
