BRIEF HISTORY -
Raised by his uncle, Jacob Hammerstein grew up a wrestling fan in the Deep South. When he got old enough to train, Jacob fell in with an unscrupulous former wrestler who barely taught him the basics. The next few years were spent being opening match cannon fodder for more established wrestlers, most of whom we're bitter, jaded veterans at the tail end of a career. These matches were torture for young Jacob, who would usually get the hell beat out of him for payment in the form of a cold hit dog and a warm beer. Hammerstein usually ended up walking or hitchhiking to and from the shows because he didn't make enough for gas money. After a few years of disillusionment and sporadic matches, he signed a low ball contract with one of the final incarnations of Strike Towers Wrestling. While the pay was bad, Hammerstein gained valuable in-ring experience. He also met the man that would become his best friend/worst enemy, Tiger Mask Red. It was also where he met the woman who would, years later, become his wife, Tiger Mask Red's sister, Holly Guacamole. After STW closed, Jacob went to Pollomania, then its offshoot, Lion's Road. It was there that Hammerstein really blossomed as a wrestler, earning several awards while there. He also signed a contract with Seattle Pro Wrestling, winning awards and titles, all while garnering the cheers and admiration of the fans.
That changed in July 2017, when Hammerstein turned on his friends and fans. He dropped his first name, opting to go by “HAMMERSTEIN,” while earning the nickname “The American Monster."
In the years that have followed, Hammerstein has travelled the globe, winning World Heavyweight Championships on four continents and has established himself as one of the most marketable names in the sport.

Will offer his hand and congratulations to someone who defeats him straight up, but that's pretty much the extent of his sportsmanship.
