1. Felix Bingham beat Danny Aguilar by pinfall in 7:29.
2. Loser Leaves Town: AJ Knight beat Justin Seville by tapout submission in 5:35.
The camera starts up outside of an old building, where we can see Luke Marshall pacing back and forth in front of the camera, before coming to a stop and looking at the camera.
LUKE MARSHALL
“So… the start of a series of matches which is meant to push me to my limits, meant to see how I handle under pressure ‘in an attempt to test his new recruit's mettle against established names’ Am I nervous? Fucking oath I am. But who wouldn’t be? This is a chance for me to prove to everyone in the locker room that I am not a pushover… that while I may be just a young bloke, . That I am as good as I say I am, that Austin Anderson says that I am… to prove to him that I am worth the investment he is making in me. This series of matches could FINALLY put a stop to all my self doubts. These five matches against five established names in wrestling could prove to the world that while I may be nearing Thirty-Three, I’m still as good as this young batch of talent… and if I’m not as good as I say I am… then what's the point of me hanging around? If this series of matches do not live up to the expectations that people expect from me then I may as well hang up my fucking boots. Because there is no point in wasting this spot that could go to a younger talent, to someone that actually deserves this spot. This is my promise to you all, to prove that I am going to be giving one hundred and ten percent, nothing less. Ladies and Gentlemen… watch out for me in 2021… because I am going to prove to everyone why I call myself ‘Balmains Best Kept Secret.’”

Cordell Garner finishes checking over both Mushigihara and Luke Marshall, the senior referee signals for the opening bell. Luke Marshall attacks right out of the gate again, trying for the tackle. Mushi side steps him, then grabs him and whips him into the ropes. Marshall hangs on, then tackles Mushi when he's least expecting it! The sumo goes down and rolls out of the ring, prompting the super rookie to head out after him. He grabs the God-Beast and redirects him, Irish whipping him into the guardrail! All 6'4" / 294lbs of him goes crashing into the rails before Marshall collects him and sends him back into the ring. The super rookie shows off some strength, much to the delight of Austin Anderson - his manager at ringside. Marshall applies a front chancery and hoists Mushi up, delivering a spinning brainbuster but Mushi kicks out at one!
SAM HEWITT
Luke Marshall, now being dubbed as the super rookie given his first year status at thirty two years old, just dropped Mushigihara with a beautiful spinning brainbuster but the former MAX-J Heavyweight Champion kicked out at one!
BRIAN SHELZI
All about mind games, Sambo. Mushi's the vet in this match and it doesn't matter how badly that brainbuster banged him up, or the trip into the guardrail that preceded it - he kicks out at one because he knows that it's going to mess with Marshall's head a bit. He's going to force Marshall to think bigger, which is going to lead him into making a mistake.
Almost on cue, Marshall heads to the top rope and remains perched as Mushigihara finds his way back to his feet. As he turns around, Marshall leaps off looking for a tackle but the sumo catches him in mid-air and chucks him down in one swift motion! Marshall quickly gets back to his feet but Mushi rushes him with his sumo palm thrusts and backs him into the corner. He launches him back out into the middle of the ring with a biel throw, then bounds off the ropes looking for a running senton but finds nobody home! Marshall quickly springs to action, grabbing one of Mushi's tree trunk legs and turns him over into a single leg crab! Mushi easily makes the ropes to break up the hold and minimize the damage. Marshall breaks without issue, but drags Mushi back into the middle of the ring and attacks the leg with strikes. Mushi attempts to roll onto all fours, but Marshall keeps attacking the leg which Shelzi credits to Austin Anderson's influence. Mushi gets to the ropes to break up the sequence and Marshall uses until four before stopping his attack, only backing up when Garner gets in between them and warns him about a yellow card. Mushigihara gets back up and blasts Marshall across the face with a slap, staggering the youngster! He grabs him in a double underhook and gives him the angriest butterfly suplex you'll see all week. Instead of a pin, Mushigihara gets up and hoofs Marshall right in the face with the leg he just worked on.
BRIAN SHELZI
That's a message right there. You disrespect a veteran, you pay in spades. Credit to Marshall though, he's still trying to get back up! I've seen slaps like that fold young men right up, those are the kinds that send them home from wrestling school early!
Mushi puts his foot on Marshall's face and stares down Austin Anderson, "OSU!" as he stands on Marshall's head! The super rookie's legs flail wildly as Garner begins his five count. Eddie Dante tells Anderson his client better learn some respect quickly, or Mushi is going to keep beating it into him! "Show us what you got! He can handle it!" is his reply. Hewitt likens it to delegating your toughest chores to your younger brother. Mushi pulls Marshall up in the middle of the ring and fires off an overhand slap to the chest that echoes throughout the venue and sends Marshall reeling back into the corner. Mushi grabs him and yanks him out, delivering a stiff lariat before making a cover!
1-NO!
Mushi looks up at Eddie Dante and is right pissed. He yanks Marshall up by his hair and once both are stood up, fires off two consecutive chops that back Marshall up into the ropes. Marshall comes firing back with a weakened elbow strike, THEN SLAPS HIM!
SAM HEWITT
Oh, kid... don't do that!
Mushi obliterates him! ONE slap sends him down to the mat and Marshall's face now has a Mushi sized hand print on it! Marshall is pulled up to his feet, wobbly legs or not and is hoisted up and slammed down! Mushi rushes over to the opposite corner then charges back across, leaps onto the second rope...
DEATH STAR!
His running slingshot splash - the Vader Bomb - connects! He hooks the leg!

2-NO!
With the kickout, Mushi gets up and grabs a handful of Marshall's hair to bring him up too. Garner warns him about it, prompting him to let go and the super rookie wisely drops to the mat and rolls out of the ring. However, Mushigihara follows him out despite Garner's requests! The sumo grabs Marshall and though he only says "OSU!" before whipping him into the guardrail, Hewitt surmises that it was probably something to do with a receipt or payback. Mushi walks over like he's going to follow up, but decides to climb back into the ring and let Garner begin his ten count anew. Marshall looks hung out to dry, his arms draped over the guardrail being the only thing to hold him up. Austin Anderson comes over and bangs his newspaper on the railing, telling him to get back in the ring. Marshall nods and falls down, crawling back toward the ring. He snatches a water bottle and pours it over himself before grabbing the bottom rope and pulling himself back inside at six.
BRIAN SHELZI
Good heart, stupid brain!
Mushi drags him to his feet and applies a bearhug! His two big arms are wrapped around Marshall's lower back, his hand gripping his forearm to squeeze whatever life is left inside the super rookie right out. Garner begins the check on Marshall, but Mushi tosses him aside. He follows it up with a kick to the back, Marshall stiffens up and rolls onto his back...
RUNNING SENTON!
This time, Mushi doesn't miss! He grabs Marshall off the mat in an inverted chancery and pulls him up, he takes a moment to adjust... then hoists him up for an inverted suplex.
MARSHALL LANDS ON HIS FEET!
He grabs a rear waist hold and...
ripcords Mushi!
MICHINOKU DRIVER!

3-NO!
Anderson is impressed! He bangs the newspaper on the apron as Marshall lays on his back, absolutely spent. Mushi's eyes tell a different story as he peers out toward Dante, almost as if he's asking where the hell that came from. Mushi gets up and drags Marshall up to his feet and throws him against the ropes, creating a see-saw effect as he chops the hell out of him! He pulls him in for the uranage, but Marshall elbows his way free! He springs off the ropes...
LARIAT!
Mushi falls to a knee, so too does Marshall. However, the super rookie fights through his pain and grabs Mushi to set up for his piledriver... or powerbomb? Either way, he wraps his arms around and tries to lift but Mushi hoists him up and adjusts him in the air....
ARGENTINE CUTTER!
The Atlas Cutter connects and Mushi rolls on top!

3!
He rolls off and out of the ring, snatching an ice bag from the trio of dojo students - Jason Scott, Dash Greyson and Jamie Adams. He puts it on his leg as Eddie Dante checks him over.

Well, the God-Beast upends the Super Rookie in the first match of the latter's trial series. Is this what you expected, Brian?
BRIAN SHELZI
Sure, but I also expect the unexpected. Luke Marshall had a terrific showing in the tag match last week and beat Mushi, but singles matches are a whole different beast and he's going to experience that first hand as he takes on some of the toughest here in Lion's Road.
SAM HEWITT
No doubt left here this evening that Luke Marshall is indeed a Super Rookie, he put up a valiant effort in defeat and I'm very much looking forward to his next four matches. Anyone you'd like to see him up against, Brian?

If I'm Austin Anderson, I don't pick and choose. I let the matches be made, I know Marshall is good but you have to be good without handpicked opponents. You can't be a World Champion like that, you need to take on all comers!
SAM HEWITT
Well said! Fans, thanks for joining us for this abbreviated version of our program! We're back here on the 22nd with more Wrestling from the Lion's Road! Until then, I'm Sam Hewitt for Brian Shelzi and everyone else - so long until then!
Our final shot is Mushi in the aisle and Marshall in the ring, catching each other's eyes. Mushi gives him a head nod and leaves with Dante.
