The KOL (King of the Lions) World's Heavyweight Championship was introduced on June 9th, 2016 in the finals of the Quest for the Crown tournament and has served as the top championship of Lion's Road ever since.
Robb Daniels was the first champion in the title's history. David Troy holds the record for most reigns with three. Julian Cutlass holds the record for the longest reign in the title's history at 448 days, successfully defending the title nine times - a record in its own right. Matt Pulver's reign of 28 days is the shortest while the reigns of James Edwards, Matt Pulver and Ben Chrenshaw all hold the record for least amount of defenses with zero.
A championship win (and each successful defense) earns a fighter a $100,000 bonus.
Fighters must make at least one defense of the title in order to qualify for a rematch clause.
